Do not consider woodchase, let you in cheap, but they will take you to court over anything. When I moved in I had no pet, after five years of living here, I was given a small puppy. He grew over the 25 pound limit. There are numerous dogs here that weigh over 25 pounds, in fact most of them. I got a note in my mailbox that it had come to their attention, that my dog was over the limit, two doors down is a dog that weighs 140 pounds, and they didn't make them get rid of them, it must not have come to their attention yet. Yesterday I had a knock at the door and a two ladies said routine maintenance check, I said routine would imply that you do it on a routine basis, I have lived here six years, and this is the first time on your routine you have made it to my apt.
They sued me about my dog, refused my rent checks, and when I got to court the sunshine people were all there, in this courtroom were approximately 200 people all being sued by sunshine. The management is , I can't think of a word that I could put on this form. Long story short, I went to court they charged me over three thousand dollars. And when I called the law firm that handles all their work, they gave me three different amounts, I asked which one is correct, and they never gave me a definitive answer. So I took the middle amount to be safe, got downtown, law firm is really friendly, that was said tongue in cheek. THe lady I took a cashiers check for 2500 bucks and some change, she said you are 714 dollars short. I told her the name of the lady who gave me those figures, and she said "I dont care who figured them, you need another cashiers check for 714 bucks. So I had to walk six blocks to first tennessee to get another check. If you want to know about sunshine, go to general sessions court at 1:30 on thursdays, and read the list and watch the owner sit against the wall, and watch everyone get sued. They are not in the rental business, they are in the suing, and evicting business.
A friend of my daughters lived here, and I had been in his apartment before, and it was spotless. When they wanted to show a model apartment they would call and ask him if they could show his, and when he moved, they sued him for 1300 bucks.
When I moved here, it was after a divorce and I needed to move quickly. This was close. THey told me, that when people move out they recarpet, repaint, but that is absolutely not true.
I had to give up my dog and take him to a rescue shelter, the maintenance guy who was here the other day, said I have seen you here for at least five years, and you didn't have a dog, he was never off his leash, and I miss him terribly. Also got a flyer on the door, saying if you have lighter fluid on the deck, you will be evicted, if you have charcoal on your deck you will be evicted. I'm battling with them now, I'm sure we will be back in court soon. Do not move here.
