I have lived at Newcastle for about a year now, and it has been pretty pleasant. I live on the second floor, but i dont ever hear anyone in surrounding apartments being loud.maybe i just got a lucky location. My appliances arent new but they all work just fine. i have only had a few maintenance problems since i have lived here and they were taken care of very promtly. just a dripping faucet, which was fixed the same day.I did have an issue with my porch. the dividing wall was separating from the building . it was fixed within a few weeks,it was secured, but it doesnt look very good. i think they should replace the whole porch. i have gotten a few splinter from the wood when not wearing shoes.so i just wear shoes. and a few nails are working there way up.i am sure they could be hammered down, but it isnt a big deal.i havent even reported it. my a/c has always worked great. personally i really like the office staff. shelly has always been friendly and helpful with me. especially when i was trying to release my crazy roommate from our lease. she was very patient and helpful with the process, even though it brought a little drama to her office which im sure she didnt need. i have never had a problem with parking or vandalism in this community. i feel safe here.everyone pretty much keeps the themselves. i have spotted a few bugs in my apartment before, but i called the office and they had pest control come out that next tuesday. they also have bingo nights here where you can win money off rent! i won $50 one time. reading some of the other reviews makes me wonder if we are even living in the same complex..maybe i just got lucky. i dont know.. but i like it here.it is way better than the complex i lived in prior to this one. g-hKOS7s4Nq5n3hEIpHd
