Carrington Hills has BOTH Pros and Cons

Years at this apartment: 2008 - 2009
The Pros:
-The staff is extremely friendly. They are always on top of things and have always treated us with the upmost respect and care. Patty, however, is by far our favorite!!
-The upgrades in the apartments are beautiful. Granite countertops, new appliances. They really are nice.
-Maintenance is always extremely friendly and helpful. The are on time when they say they will be and worked around my schedule because I had a newborn. Not all places will do that. The maintenance crew rocks there.
-The views are great!
-The pool is always well kept as well as the grounds.
-Our neighbors were great, nice, and quiet. Never heard a peep from upstairs or next door.
The Cons:
(Most of the cons were out of the control of the staff, if you let them know, they will be on top of it)
-When we first moved in, the place wasn't exactly as well built as we had hoped. The contractors they hired did a poor job, but it was livable.
-The water bill is pooled throughout the community. We had 2 and a half(baby) people living there and the water bill was at least 60 dollars a month.
-We had male termites, but it was taken care of.
-We had a wolf spider infestation. My cat killed at least 6 a night. It was terrifying. They sprayed for us and it calmed down after Spring passed. No poisonous spiders were found.
-We had a mouse in our bathroom. Since we noticed it after office hours we bought a mouse trap and got the mouse. They filled the hole with steel wool. Hopefully they found the outside hole the mouse got into.
-Our air conditioner iced up once, but maintenance was there fast and got it fixed.
-Our sons window leaked when it was raining hard one day. The whole window had to be replaced and we couldnt use his room for days. That was fun.
-Watch out for the tack strips! They will get you good. My husband has scars to prove it.
-People parked on the handicap ramps all the time. I guess parking is pretty bad, but we lived on an end unit, so it really wasnt much of a problem for us.
-People also complained about the security gate being open a lot. Well, it was, but for good reasons like ice, some idiot hit it with their car so they had to fix it, and maintenance on it. You HAVE to have a 615 # (i think) to be able to let people in. We didnt so we had to get a home phone.
All in all its a pretty average apartment. It had its fair share of problems but the staff was always right there to fix it. I hope this helped.
