You'll become fast friends with the police dept.!

I'm moving after 2 years here. If I weren't moving out of the area. I'd go to Carrington. Former residents have moved there--it's gated, cleaner, and more spacious for about the same price. In the last 6 months, the landlord doesn't seem to care about the people it lets in--the type that argue into the night, that drive in drunk then sleep it off it the bed of their trucks. After a walk just this morning, I returned to find 6 police cars in the parking lot. It's not a surprise anymore.
And the renovations have taken literally since the end of May; it's mid September, and they're still not done. We have not been able to use our porches all summer--we had to move EVERYTHING inside. And the work, overall, is shoddy. We have not gotten a discount on rent; they'll no doubt raise it to pay for their "first-rate" fix-ups.
Sometimes it takes maintenance DAYS to fix a problem. The staff are friendly but largely ineffective. They can promise work will get done, but since they're not the ones doing it, you never know when/if problems will be resolved.
Final word: If you have to live in Franklin, scrape up the extra $$ to go to Carrington or Alara--almost anywhere but here. Good luck!
