Franklin Oaks is not a good place to live. For one, the prices are outrageous for what you get. Yes, I know this is not the Four Seasons but if I'm paying $773 a month (normallly the apartment I was in would rent for over $900 which is ridiculous), I expect for the stairs I have to use to reach my apartment to not shake and make terrible sounds and wobble all over the place. The metal was completely rusted and they were unattached from the support beams when I moved in. I reported it and they fixed them...11 months later.
I also expect my air conditioning to work. I'm not an expert but I do know that when the apartment is 90 degrees that changing a filter will not make the temperature drop down to 75. The maintenance men are insulting in that they think the residents are idiots. The office staff is a joke. If you have a problem, DO NOT SPEAK with a leasing agent. They have no authority and don't know what the hell they are talking about. The staff will claim they posted notices regarding policy changes. They may have posted it in their office but if you live on the other side of the street and have no reason to go to the office, how are you going to know of changes' I have worked at apartment complexes and I know that this place sucks. They are cheap but they want to charge ridiculous rental rates. Please, for your own peace of mind, do not live in Franklin Oaks.
