My family and I lived here for little over a year. Living here was okay. The people downstairs would smoke in their bathroom and the cigarette smoke would come up through the holes where the plumbing was in the cabinets. Items in the drawers and cabinets smelled of smoke. The walls are very thin, you could here our neighbors on the other side using the restroom or talking on the phone. You could here the people downstairs talking. This is normal living noises that you could here through the walls. After awhile we noticed a scratching in our bedroom wall and it was due to mice. Did have a problem with a mouse, that I believe came in through the pantry or bathroom. Problems with silverfish. Maintence did always come when I needed them, but other residents would complain of their untimely manner. Dog owners would not always clean up after their pets in the courtyard where the children would play. We did have to move out and break our lease but we did give the 60 days notice, we did not live in the apt but still had to pay the water. We paid on time while we were not in the apt, and then you have to pay a penalty fee which is your rent. We paid our rent water, they said we had to pay our last month of water. We paid 931.77 for water we could have had turned off at the water company, but you pay through a company that the apts go through for your water bill. We were mailed a statement stating they only received 727 and they used our 99 deposit and we owed 26. We knew that wasn't right, so my husband called and Kelly G. couldn't give a straight answer as to why were paying 150 extra. She said it was unpaid utilities then it was fees for moving out. She kept making things up to cover the extra expenses they tact on to our penalty fee when it was to be only 885. You could find somewhere better to live.

Well now I really know what I am in for. I think their company AIMCO or AINCO prays on excessive billing and penalties, and no matter how well you try and cooperate with them somehow you end up on the losing side owing them a whole lot of money.

I just moved out and made sure my apt was immaculate b/c I knew they would find all kinds of reasons to charge me. Out of my $170 deposit, I got $7 back. Ridiculous. So many charges for cleaning, replacing things that were in better shape when I moved out, and random fees that I was not told about. They even owe me $20 for my gym key, which obviously they left off.

The line is forming. I just posted my issue with their penalties and fees. I too, was late one month. I took half my rent in on the sixth, they refused to accept it. It was all or nothing. Went back a week later when I had it all including late fees, they charged me $250 in legal fees. They refused to accept any of my money without the legal fees. Feel free to contact me maybe we can find a lawyer that gives a group discount.
