Great location, but expensive

Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2003
I lived at Wyndchase from June 2002-October 2003. The overall grounds and complex are beautiful and even our apartment looked great from the outside. But on the inside there were cracks in the walls everywhere and on the ceiling. If you marked up a wall and went to wash it off, the paint and drywall came right off. It is obvious that the apartments were made with the cheapest materials possible. I found the leasing staff to be very courteous, but the maintenance staff were mostly absent. For instance, my husband and I asked repeatedly for the maintenance staff to repair a chewed up doorframe (probably by the previous owner's dog) and it was never repaired. After two months, we finally stopped asking. As another former renter indicated, the sound of the train is pretty loud, but you get used to it after a while. Towards the end of our stay there, there were a few incidents of people's cars being broken into. Luckily, ours escaped the vandalism. Even with all of these gripes, I still enjoyed living there, mainly due to the fabulous location! Absolutely everything you need is a five minute drive away or less. My husband and I often walked to the movies or to dinner. Overall, these apartments are nothing special; their location is the best thing they have going for them. And be prepared to pay a pretty penny for this!
