Years at this apartment: 2008 - 2008
I visit Wyndchase to see my girlfriend of many years and will soon be moving to the area. However work will prevent both of us from staying here at Wyndchase and sadly we will be moving more north and east.
With any apartment complex there are good and bad things.
Good things:
For those of you that visit Wyndchase you will quickly see that it is a nice area with a good view and clean grounds. It is away and set back from the highway (I65) and set right in the middle of Franklin. Plenty of places to go out and eat and the theater is very close. The grounds are well kept and the scenery is nice. The area has a nice breeze. The apartments are clean. High ceilings with nice trim (no gaps), Air conditioning vents from the ceiling, and the kitchen and bathrooms a quality amount of storage space and drawers. OF what i hear maintence quickly responds and the staff is nice. The pool, business office, and workout facilites are well kept. The walls are thick and we never have had complaints about playing video games loud and we do not hear our neighbors. I have seen no bug except on the deck, nature will find a way.
Bad things:
If you work a 8-5 job when u get home you might have a short walk to your apartment ( no more than 50 yards ). Also there is a train that runs by that only a few of the buildings are near and the train can be heard but you have to pay attention to it. I spent a week here and only heard the train max of twice in a day and it never woke me from slumber, and i am a light sleeper. The electric bill can run high in the summer time because of the large windows and the air does not circulate well in the two bedroom. There are no speed bumps around people tend to go to fast. Also this is a gated community and for a long time the gate was not repaired when someone took out a key card post. Also when it was "fixed" sometimes it would still be open at night. You pay for the gate....it should work. Another annoying thing about the gate is that when guests arrive they put in the appartment they want and by cell phone the resident can open the gate. The bad part of this is that you have to have a local phone number. In the apartment they placed an old Black and White TV...useless and annoyingly placed. No microwave....spend some money and put one on the counter.
Over all the place is great but the price is a little high. If you can afford it i highly recommend it.
