I have lived at Chardonnay 2 years and only for the schools & because it's the only thing I can afford. Trust---it SUCKS big time!!!! Cracked tile, lousy plumbing, raw sewage running freely in the streets in the summertime...even several tennants have told me horror stories about how it backed up into their houses. Maintenance will never come out to service anything. Toilets run contantly. One of my toilets I've had to tie a string to the plug inside the tank & pull the string to get the toilet to flush. Ceiling light fixtures have big rusted out holes in them & bugs come through into your apartment. All the good reviews someone has written (probably the management)--DON'T BELIEVE IT!!!! Sure, they are rennovating. They totally disrespect the tennants...you cannot get out of your parking space IF YOU ARE LUCKY ENOUGH TO GET INTO IT IN THE FIRST PLACE. They come into your apt & track mud & water everywhere, knock pictures off the walls, step all over your kids toys in their rooms & crush them up, gawk at you when you are trying to walk around in your home while they are there, the illegal aliens flirt with my young daughter & say rude things to her, my things have come up missing many times. Doors falling off hinges, lighting onsite out on dark streets sometimes, muddy, messy, & noisy. Mildew in the air vents, dirt everywhere on porches, inside & out of your home, big rocks laying all over your front area, exposed electrical boxes with wires hanging out on fronts of houses, ants, ants, ants, ants, and more ants taking over your homes. This past winter I had mice and RATS == big huge gray hairy RATS-- come into my apartment. AND BIG brown recluse spiders --some really huge fall down out of attic & hide in cabinets, closets & bathrooms, in your clothes...everywhere, and they will not spray. You have to go out and invest like $80 at a whack & fog your own place but the pests just keep coming. Parking sucks...one space for your house and then people constantly steal your spot. Cops used to come through, but they won't anymore...it's too big a headache to drive through for all the heavy equipment everywhere. They must have hired an incompetent construction company, because they are very unprofessional and seem to be taking forever to do one lousy thing at a time. And I have been told it will be another 2 years before they complete rennovations. And all of this for what''' I though that things would get better and decided to stick it out until things were nice whenever they got finished rennovating, but now we find out they are selling the apartments as condos when they are done. so we have to endure all of this crap and then as soon as things are tolerable, we can't enjoy that...NO, we will be kicked out "60 days to vacate," like I had to do. Good riddance. I am finally getting to leave Chardonnay. Oh, yeah, and the appliances are old and barely work if they work at all. The attics are full of several each of these: non-working hot water heaters, old broken furnaces, & other assorted junk. And the pool. What a joke. All torn up and plastic all around it to rope it off from the muddy construction. The staff doesn't care. They will tell you anything to get what they want.
