I have lived at the Colonnade since 2007 and I just renewed my lease to stay for a 3rd year. I live in the larger 1bd/1ba and I love my apartment! It is incredibly spacious. There is ample storage space and even the laundry room is large. The maintenance staff is very friendly and they seem to always get my requests done in a timely fashion. I had an emergency late one night - my deadbolt fell out of the door, and a locksmith was here in 30 minutes. The other tenants are friendly and quiet. The complex is walking distance to the Germantown Greenway. There is ample parking. Covered car wash is usually available. Great location - everything feels a short drive away. Two swimming pools, tennis courts, and a small gym are available. And all things considered, it feels pretty safe here.
There are some cons - crappy cable, crappy carpet, older appliances, older cabinets, older counters, high turnover in the office, and I feel like my utility bill can be outrageous (maybe an insulation problem).
The rent seems high for the quality of the apartment, but considering all the perks to living here, I think it is worth it.
