Horrible Place!!!! Don't Live Here!

I went through a divorce and have a small child. This was the only apartment I could get right away in a pinch and now have lived here for 2 years. I now have the money to move and am so happy about that! The buildings are old and run-down. The plumbing is awful, fixtures are old and need replaced, mold growing in the walls of the bathroom, heat/air always need fixing and never run right. I could go on and on about the apartments themselves, but what's worse than that is the management. I've had to call the police on my neighbors several times, and when I approached management (Ruth Harris), she told me to keep calling the cops and would do nothing about these people, despite the fact that my neighbor even cursed her on a few occasions. I had to go to Ruth's boss (Dan @ the management co.) to get anything done about these neighbors. Ruth Harris accused me of threatening her because I asked her who her boss was and how to get in touch with him in the first place. Now,I had to call her boss because nothing was being done. There have been several times I have gone to Ruth's office only to find her asleep at her desk!!! That has to be the most unprofessional manager I have ever seen. The apartments are pretty much falling down around us, the noise level is out of control being there is no insulation in this place, and as mentioned, the plumbing, heat and air are in bad need of repair, yet this lady sleeps! Absurd! The only tenants this lady will wake up for are her friends who live in the same complex and walk her dog for her. I guess if I were to walk this old lady's dog, then maybe I could get something fixed around here. Disgusting! I am writing this because if I can save at least one person from going through the trouble of moving into this dump then I will be happy. Please, if you have any other options available to you, do not move into Autumn Chase Apartments...you will regret it.

Amen to that!!! Autumn Chase is the worst! My lease is up soon and I can't wait to get the hell out of there. The grounds are dirty, apartments are old and broken, and management is not professional or courteous in the slighest.

This is the maintenance guy, and I think you are being unfair! 3 months before you moved out, I did the surround on your tub, and I replaced all your screens. I fixed your a/c, and did every work order you had (usually on the same day it was requested!). I fix everyone's stuff without them walking anyone's dog. All they had to do was call it in. If you didn't have a good experience with management that's unfortunate. But, that does not make this a bad property. We work hard here!

I don't know who said such horrible things about this complex but they are wrong. When I moved in here things were kinda rough but since the new manager has taken over it has been an uphill change. Things are being done properly and the manager goes beyond the call of duty. I have called her when I was stranded and she would come get me she( Ms Ruth)will do what ever she can for anyone . I am appauled by this . I am gonna sign a new renewal and I have been here for many years and won't move until i really have to this is home

I am an elderly lady with lots of health problems and I do not know where this person is comming from. The staff here is very caring and do all that they can for others. I cant walk her dog. I call her when I have personal problems and she does listen and gives her all. Ms. Ruth is all about her tenants.

I think it's funny that you all jumped on here and wrote your "great" reviews and responses all within the same day. To you, the maintenance man, I never had any problems with any services you provided. You were always friendly and professional. I don't recall you replacing my screens and what not, so I'm not sure if you know who you speak of, but nonetheless, if you will read more clearly above, I simply stated the condition of the apartments, which are old, run-down, and (for a lack of better words) just nasty. Todd, you can't help it that you have nothing good to work with there. I will give you the utmost credit for trying your very best, and I think you do a fabulous job with what you have to work with there at Autumn Chase. Short of bulldozing the place down, you can only do so much to fix the place, and I truly believe you give 100% every day. But again, if you read above, I had no problems with your professionalism or talents, I had a problem with the initial contact with management when needing things done, etc. I'm sorry, but you and I both know the truth, and that is the fact that your manager pretends to be one way (and probably is with her few elderly tenants), but she is rude, unfair and completely unprofessional. I've caught this woman sleeping at her desk many, many times. How hard is to do her job in the first place? Tell me why she can't handle the complex and her tenants in a timely and courteous manner? After all, apparently she has the time to sleep!!! I came to her on a few occasions with a problem, and she treated me like garbage, like I shouldn't bother her with anything. I worked hard and paid my rent each and every month, and I should have NEVER been treated in such a disrespectful manner as Ms. Ruth treated me. There is absolutely NO excuse for it...point blank!!! So you, being her employee, and the three elderly friends she has in the place can all rally to her defense, but I would bet my life that the rest of your tenants, both past and present, aren't quite so happy and feel like they are treated "like family." No sir, it's quite the opposite! But yes, Todd, you do a great job each and every day, and I have not and would not say any less about you.
