You can hear every footstep from the apartment above. The decks are wooden so stuff falls through the floor onto your clean deck. We got complaints from the guys below us and we were literally not making any noise. You can hear every footstep from people outside on the steps while you are sleeping and even understand their conversations throught the walls. We even tried it ourselves. These apartments are VERY poorly constructed. The return air vents are in the outside storage exposed to the temperature outside so the electric bills are high as well. There is also not nearly enough parking spaces in some areas and empty ones in others so you mother wife or girlfriend could be wqalking a distance late at night or with groceries, etc.
