Overall, 3 out of 5. Rent was decent. The location was great, The apartment was nice and fairly quiet, but my experience with management was not. They had three sets of managers in the three years I was there, and each was worse than the first. When my upstairs neighbors' bathtub sprung a leak, they took their time in addressing it. Ultimately they painted over the leak stain in our ceiling. They waited until I left to paint, and they left my dog in the apt without fresh air for hours. When I arrived home that evening just after my husband (boyfriend at the time) had arrived, I found him sitting outside on the patio area because the fumes were so strong. When I complained, they didn't even apologize. They told me that they didn't want to run up my electric bill by turning on a vent or opening a window. I told them that could have been resolved if they'd worked out the schedule with me first as I requested. I could have taken my dog somewhere else. Then they shut off my utilities when a neighbor in a completely different unit failed to pay rent. They "transposed" the numbers. I lost all of the food in the refrigerator because they made an error. They didn't even reimburse me for it. Then one night, three strange young males started knocking on my door making up stories in an attempt to lure me out of my apartment. I didn't respond or open the door, but they knew someone was in there because when I looked through the peep hole, they could see a color shift inside the apartment through the viewer on the outside of the door. I called the police. I sometimes had to fight for the best parking spots. Plus, I could smell my neighbor's dinner when they cooked upstairs. I could also hear their baby crying. When they'd make noise, my dog would bark at them sometimes, then the managers asked us to quiet our dog. We were there first. They shouldn't have put a loud family with a baby on top of a family with a dog. My whole stay was riddled with things like that. Then when I finally left, I let them know my forwarding info and that I was leaving and they confirmed receipt. I paid the last few months rent even though I wasn't living there. A couple of months later, I received a note from a collections dept citing lies. I don't even smoke and they said there were cigarette burns on the tub. They said there was pet feces on the carpet. I did have a dog, but I was very clean. I did not leave poop. It ticked me off that I actually had to pay for those things plus a collections fee because they simply didn't call or write to let me know their claim that I had unresolved issues. I'm just glad to be free of them. I wish I had known about this site years ago. If you want peace of mind, I would not recommend Rivergate Meadows in Goodlettsville, TN. My opinion is that management can make or break an experience. From 2000 to 2003, they broke it. Hopefully it is better now.

As a more current resident, I wanted to say I sympathize with what you went through, but we have had no problems. We have a new manager who is very compassionate and took care of our slight mishap with the neighbors in a very timely manner. I had my jaw to the floor while reading about your experience, and I am not discounting it at all. I just wanted to let you know (maybe for some peace of mind?) the current managers are much nicer. And more competent! Also, I highly recommend Rivergate Meadows for the closet space and large 2 bedroom!! I hope your living situation is much better now.

To anonymous you must be very good friends with the manager or the manager.Our experience has been one problem after another.We have can never get in contact with manager.I was told by a very rude maint. man (Wayne) they were too short handed because there is only one manager on staff.The manager always promises to call me back but never does.
