Since their takeover here there has been little or NO contact from their office located at the adjacent Carrington Place apt complex which they also own. They closed the office here on the Bluegrass Village Property the day they took over. They fired the existing manager, Sarah, even after agreeing with the owner, whom they purchased from, they would guarantee a 2 year contract to keep her on as manager. The day they took over they fired her, but then realized they had to buy out her contract in order to get rid of her. By the way, the adjoining Carrington Place complex ( owned by Brookside Properties ) has one of the poorer ratings in Hendersonville. Once again, see for yourself here:

Since then many, many residents, including myself have seen a complete lack of communication or management skills by anyone representing Brookside. They have began replacing all doors and windows in the complex using what appears to be illegals doing the labor. I say that because none of them spoke any English.

They have removed the NES lighting fixtures on poles throughout the complex leaving it very dark outside at night. It's been that way for 3 weeks now with no official announcement as to when we will have lighting again. You would think they would install the new lighting before removing the old.

The swimming pool has been closed for the summer WITHOUT any explanation to residents as to why. My parking lot has had a giant refuse dumpster sitting full in it for two 1/2 weeks. If you ask the office at Carrington any questions about this or any of the other things I've mentioned they have no clear answers to anything. They don't have answers because the chain of command is busy trying to turn a profit rather than build the integrity of the ownership and it's brand. The renter appears to be their last concern.

Everyone gets a lot of "great face" when contemplating a rental lease. Once you've signed there is little of no service offered. Read some of the posts by other residents who will verify what I'm telling you. Brookside is all show.. but NO go.

All in all.. Brookside is nothing more than a LARGE property corp that has very poor management skills as witnessed by it's very poor renter ratings. Brookside is run by "bean counters" and lawyers. They appear to be all about putting on a good appearance but without a hint of substance.

When my lease is up I'll be moving on to someplace who at least feigns that they care about the renter.

Sarah you were the best, we sure miss you and the old ownership. We've gone from pretty good to very bad in very short order.

I just posted a review, too, on the Carrington side since that's what it is now. I agree wholeheartedly with this review. The apartments have definitely gone downhill since the takeover.
