Where can I even begin' I lived at this apartment complex for 2 and a half years and could not be happier to be gone now. The only reason I stayed that long was the fact that I was trying to find a house. I noticed one review giving the apartments credit for repainting while I lived there. This would have been a nice gesture, had they not also painted my lawn chairs and my PEEP HOLE!! The light outside my door NEVER worked the whole time I was there. I think I probably put in about 3 requests for that one. I too enjoyed many bug infestations. We had ants, spiders and worms, although my apartment was kept very clean. They sprayed one time I believe....it seems it did not take. They also decided about a year ago to take over the billing of the water, which ironically resulted in my bill doubling every month from that point on. That sounds honest, right' Also, don't bother to clean your apartment when you move out, because you will be charged a cleaning fee. I was charged $70 even though my apartment was spotless when I moved out. Even though I disagreed with this bill, I paid it immediately just to appease them, and figured that I would never have to deal with these people again anyway. How foolish of me! Yesterday, I received a letter from a collection agency informing me that I had outstanding debt that was owed to Hickory Run. This came well over a month from when I paid the bill. Thinking that maybe the check got lost in the mail, I went through my bank statements and FOUND the check that had been cashed when they received it!! The drama just never ends with them. They are unprofessional, rude and incompetent. I have NEVER had a pleasant experience with these people. I pity any tenant that is currently there and would encourage them to find someone else to give their rent money to every month! As all the negative memories come back to me, I will be adding to this post. I hope this saves any poor person from trying to live here in the first place!!! DON'T DO IT!!!
