Ok i wrote a post before talking about the cheap fixtures and the bug problem,and I spoke briefly on my towel rack electricuting me. At first I thought this was just a crazy mishap, but it has happened to me more than a few times since then. The other day I was in the shower and i had my towel on the meta towel rack. I reached out of the shower to grab my towel with my wet hands and i got shocked pretty bad. My arm hurt for about 10 minutes afterward and went a little numb. I think I can now add another reason not to move to monthaven park apts. I believe when they built my building(threw it together) they somehow crossed the wires. I now this sounds crazy but when you run your hand across it, at certain times you can feel the electric current moving through it! This has got to be a health hazard and i plan on looking into what I need to do next. If anyone else has had this experience please comment back and let me know! And for those of you who are still looking at moving in here, take it from the best. We've lived here and we want out! we're breaking our lease and buying a house so that we dont have to deal with this anymore. If the bugs, and cheap fixtures were not enough, or the paint drip marks on the floors, then you might just want to keep this review in mind because this is a serious issue!!

I also have to agree...the centipede looking things are called silverfish and they are annoying nasty little bugs..and spiders galore...we have at least five camped out right by the stairs...its disgusting. and dont get me started on the fixtures falling apart..my one year old shouldnt be able to break anything by just pulling on it but he has...We are not even waiting till our lease is up...we are breaking it and just cutting our losses...i would pay anything to get out then live another month here!

I used to live at Monthaven and loved the property. The landscaping is beautiful and so are the insides of the apartments. Maintenance and the office staff was always great to me and addressed any concerns I had. I recommend anyone looking for apartments to go there. If I had not have bought a house; I will still be living there.

Yeah, I've heard from people who used to live here that it was a great place to live too! That's why we moved here. But, things have gone downhill quickly, and sadly too, with the brand new apartments they built close to walmart, seems like this place would try to compete. Oh well, we, like many other residents, will be moving once our lease is up as to avoid the issue that some of our other neighbors have experienced with trying to break a lease. Yikes! It's scary here.
