i am breaking my lease and moving at the end of september. i have not been able to speak with tammy the manager for the last few days. when we did our initial walk through we asked what all would be involved if we had to break lease due to buying a house. she stated that it was a 30 day notice, we would have to pay the next month rent (752 dollars) and we would lose our deposit. I was fine with this so we decided to move in. well, i found a house that i move into at the end of september. I called to give my notice 35 days prior to leaving and was told that they now have a 60 day notice requirement. I would have to pay another 25 days worth of rent on top of the final "next month's rent" and a 250 dollar "redecoration" fee. what are they redecorating in an empty apartment' they are also keeping my deposit. I got my bill today and was floored! i am going to have to pay 2360.54 dollars by the end of september!!! you have got to be kidding me! I just poured a ton of money into buying my house and now i have to try to fork out almost 2500 to get OUT of my apartment' this is also before the final walk through which is also crazy. to replace the cheap crappy carpet that they install in this dump it costs me an additional $50 per square foot! I can get high grade carpet at $2 a square foot all day long! they also charge $50 per SPOT to clean the carpet! all in all this place sucks and i would have rather moved back into my parents house than here if i would have known all of the crap i would have to go through just to Leave.

I KNOW EXACTLY HOW U FEEL!!! I AM GOING THROUGH THE SAME ISSUE RIGHT NOW. I THINK THERE'S SOMETHING WE CAN DO ABOUT THIS BECAUSE UPON MOVING IN, WE AGREED TO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT TERMS.. LAWYER???

i know how you feel too! they are wanting us to pay 4000 for breaking ours after countless times of explaining that we cant afford them anymore do to my medical issues and my husbands hours being cut..its an overpriced dump, we arent paying them that we are gonna let it go to a collection agency which we would actually get off cheaper that way

simple response: NEWER, NICER, AND CHEAPER APTS. AT AVENTURA AT INDIAN LAKE. Don't be deceived. The base rent will be cheaper at Monthaven, but they will recoup those costs with $100 water bills! LOOK ELSEWHERE, AND LOVE WHERE YOU LIVE!!!

yes, over priced dumb! stole the words right out of my mouth!!!!!! just moved from there last month, thank goodness. i hated it from the first week we moved in on!!!! ill spare you my list of complaints, i could go on all night
