Wessington House II and Sumner Estates are old and need repair. Their driveway is full of pot holes that need to be filled in and repaved. They no assigned parking spots in front of the buildings for the tenants. The apartments themselves need to be remodled. They have no ground fault circuit interupters in the bathrooms or around the Kitchen sink. There heating and air is old and makes alot of noise. Their maintenace staff is not good. You call in something to fixed and they take care of it a week later. I think the rent is two much for what they do. When you move out, they find some reason to keep your deposit.

If you do not feel as thou maintenance has taken care of an issue in your unit please call the office and let the manager know.She has no way of knowing you are not happy with the if you do not call her so she can fix the problem.

I just want to let you know that in the past some of the tenants tried to let the office know if something was not fixed right, but not a thing would get done to fix the problem correctly. When the tenants have problems like this and nothing gets done about it they choose another avenue of complaining. It is a lot better when you can work on a good Management-Tenant relationship. I also want you to know that you are defending yourself on complaints that may have been before you took over as Management. Check the dates when these complaints were posted. This complaint was posted on 4/20/2008. Yes, the pot holes have been repaired and is alot better than it used to be. But, there are other outside matters that need attention, like building E needs the roof worked on before it starts leaking. Building G the gable end facing the laundry side of the office the vent is broken and birds are living in the roof. The back of building G has siding boards that are rotting and coming off. Building F the gutter on the left side front is missing and the fa ca board is also missing and birds live in the roof also. This place is Old, but it can be remodeled and it can look as good as new. If you look around you can find more stuff that needs to be worked on and there will always be stuff to work on because this place is old, but if you these things are taken car of it is a sign your Maintenance is taken care of the place and that gets positive instead of negative feed back from the tenants. At one time before you took over there was a lot of vacant apartments in building E. The other things is you have tenants that live here that are carpenters, Hvac, Electricians, Plumbers,and also tenants that work in Maintenance elsewhere. These are professionals and see how the place is kept up.
