Just moved in in june and we like it here. The apartment was ready when we moved in and no problems with anything. Have heard the manager has been here since feb. and she must have made some major changes from looking at the other reviews. All the exercise equipment works and the pool is always clean. The gates didnt work when we first moved in but are working now and have been for a while. Maintenane guys are very nice and have helped me with answers to questions and small requests ive had since we have lived here. There is some noise but it is an apartment and you cant expect it to be like living in a house. All and all good move.

I once thought The Avalon was nice too. You've only been there for a couple of months, so you hadn't seen anything yet, plus, it all depends on what you're used to. The noise IS a little more than what you would normally hear in an apartment complex. The walls are very thin and if you have anyone living above you, you will hear their every step. The breezeways are wooden and there are gaps. If you wear high heel shoes they will slip through or get stuck and you can fall and get hurt pretty bad. Also, when people are walking by your door it sounds like a herd of cattle. It's great that the manager has been there for six whole months because they usually don't last that long. They are usually fired after three months or so. I doubt that she's made any major changes. She's probably no different from the others before her. TRUST ME... your perception of this place will be MUCH different by the time your lease is up.

I use to work at the Avalon, and ALL the residents liked me. I did the leasing there. To set some things straight, ONLY 1 manager was fired. The rest got moved to other properties that we manage. Lisa did do a lot, as did Karry before her. The problems were at the fault of the owner! Not Brookside, and not the managers. They do the best with what they got! So, please, do your part and help keep that BEAUTIFUL property clean and quiet!!!! It's the residents that are in control of their own actions!!!

Low standards produces a bunch of trash who have no respect for other tenants. Ignoring the complaints of the decent tenants is the norm. No matter what special they offer you, it's not worth it. We learned that lesson the hard way.

This is my first apartment I've allways rented houses. I will admit it's not a house, and for what you pay you could get a decent house. The paint on the walls is barely more than colored water, and the carpet is in bad shape, the gate never works more than a week or so at a time, they were supposed to be building a big playground and never did, the breezeways are very loud, I can hear every step the tenant above me makes, there are alot of kids running around all the time(I blame that on piss poor parents), no real regulations on speed limits in the parking lot. But with all that said THIS IS AN APARTMENT!!! Come on people did ya think you were getting the ritz? Everybody knows that the model apartment is allways way nicer than what you get! The staff does a really good job, I have never had any problems with anything there,(of course i pay my rent on time everytime and that helps). The maintanence guys are quick to fix anyproblems I've ever had with my place. Like I said this was the first apartment I've ever rented, but to be 100% honest it wasnt really less than I expected. Maybe I have low standards, but again this ain't the ritz honey!
