We are getting ready to move out of Oakwell Farms, and our experience here has been relatively comfortable. Our only complaint is the incompetence of the maintenance staff. Our oven has been defective for the entire duration of our lease. It has one setting: 6000 Degrees. They have been in to "look at it" twice, and both times they have left notes telling me to cook on a lower temperature. I quickly realized that it is a waste of breath to call in a maintenance request around here, so I have been fixing everything myself. Too bad I'm no appliance mechanic. And the advertised "trend setting color schemes"' That would be the teal colored counter tops. Really taking off in this area i'm sure. The office staff is seemingly professional and they leave you alone. Be careful, they dont require a security deposit. See where I'm going with this' Insist on a walkthrough on the unit you're renting BEFORE you move in so you're not turned over to collections for things you're not responsible for. And plan on fighting for that boat storage they advertise, it's full and you can forget about parking it anywhere else around there. Otherwise, thank you Oakwell for a quiet and comfortable experience. And for the smoke detector next to the kitchen, it always let me know dinner was ready.
