I have lived here 9 months now and am sorry that I chose this place. I love the layout of my apartment....but it ends there. The maintenance is always quick to tend to my problems....however they never really fix the problems and I have learned that it is just pointless to call them. I spray around my walls and constantly find very large brown spiders dead around my walls. I have to lift up my sliding closet door to close it and when I moved in, they just said that was the way it was...period. They said that same thing about my outside door that doesn't shut properly. I feel sorry for my poor neighbors that have to hear it shut everytime I come in and out. My sinks are rusted out and they won't fix them. I can't handwash anything in them, because it will get rust on my clothing. My toilet pressure sucks! I can't sit outside on my deck at night because roaches fly around....let me note that I am extremely tidy person. When I am in the apartment, the smell of the people's smoke from the nextdoor apartment seeps into my apartment, and I am not fond of this because I am not a smoker. To be honest, I am typically pretty tolerant of a lot....but am ready to move from this place. Most concerning are the gunshots and theft. I have heard a number of gunshots here since I moved in...and they are a little too close for comfort. 2 residents cars have also gotten broken into that I know of. My car alarm has gone off a few times as well, but never broken into, thank goodness.

I moved down the street to polo park, its 50$ a month extra and its waaaaay worth it. My car was one of the many that got broke into at oakwell. That place is going downhill fast!!!

I've thought of living there myself however, it's $200 more. Are they willing to negotiate?
