I lived at Oakwell for two years and I loved it at first. The price is cheap..but after a year when the management changed I realized why it's so cheap. You get what you pay for. Within the last 3 months I lived there I saw at least 5 cars that were broken into just in front of my building alone. Two cars were stolen (just that I know of). There are stray cats that stay because the staff feeds them and they would pee and poop in our breezeway and even on our door mat. The place is falling apart on the inside and out. I dont know what they put on the inside walls but if you brush a corner like in the kitchen it will fall off down to metal. The insulation sucks there and we paid well over $150 to heat our 650 square foot apartment which is ridiculous! Some of the staff that have been there a while are really nice but some of the new ones especially the new managager are SO rude! Doesn't make sense! Dont live here if you want to feel safe or be treated respectfully.
