I would not live here...

My husband and I were so excited to possibly be getting an apartment here, until we started getting the run-around. The first time we looked at the apartments, we saw the model for 2 beds, 2 baths. It was perfect. The complex was centrally located to everything we wanted and we couldn't imagine anything better. We put down $160.00 to hold an apartment that was to be available in 2 weeks. We were told that if we did not like the apartment, we had 3 days to notify them of such after viewing it and we would be getting ALL of our $160.00 back. We told Brandon Haynes that we wanted an apartment exactly like the 2 bed, 2 bath model. Two days before we were supposed to view this apartment, Brandon called me and said it was not available to look at because the tenants had not moved out on the agreed date so the apartment still had to be cleaned. Basically, our viewing date was pushed back one week. When it came time for the pushed-back viewing a week later, Brandon called me again and asked what day we were coming to view the apartment - as well as trying to get me to agree over the phone to sign a lease without viewing the said apartment. He also made a call and got my husband's cell phone number, then proceeded to do the same to him. We were able to view the apartment the second time, however, it was not exactly like the model as we had requested. Brandon did not bother to tell us this information before we viewed it. When we told him we didn't want it, he brought us back down to the office to see what else was available. He said he had an apartment on the first floor now, but when we asked him if we could see it - he told us it was not ready to show or move into. At this point, we had involved the Assistant Manager of the complex. She told us it would be ready the next Tuesday and we said we wanted it that weekend (by Saturday). She told us she would check on it and let us know the next day by 9:30 a.m. She called my husband at 9:30 a.m. the next day and said the apartment would definatley not be ready until the next Tuesday. My husband told her to hold the $160.00 on this apartment and he would let her know if we still wanted it or not. That night (Friday), Brandon called me at work and said the apartment would now not be ready until the next Wednesday because they are replacing the carpet. At this point, we had had enough; as I'm sure you have had with this rant! We don't even live here yet and this is how we're treated! To top this all off, they are now telling us they cannot return ALL of our $160.00 per comapny policy. These people do not know how to run a successful business!!
