Nice floor plan, but showing its age

The 1-bedroom townhouse plan is fun and different, but all the walls and ceilings are covered with a harsh spiky texture to try to conceal bad patches and tape work in the drywall. The staff is very friendly but is very bad about coming out to fix things. We've had a running faucet for nearly the whole time we've lived here (nearly two years) and gave up on the idea that they would fix it. They did come out once, but didn't fix it. And the sink faucet needs to be turned on about 1/2 turn on each handle in order to shut it off. We let them know about that, but since we had it turned like that so it wouldn't drip while we were at work, they said there wasn't a leak and didn't do anything. I don't think the maintenance guy even tried the handles.
On the plus side, the one time that our heat went out, the guy came out in horrible weather to fix it in the middle of the night. And we like our neighbors, which is a definite advantage. It's also nice to have two pools, since the kids tend to play in one and the adults get the other. The walls are also very thick... Our neighbor had a dog that barked a lot, and we could hear it better from outside (due to the wall of windows) than from in our apartment.
