Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2007
Ok were to begin. Lets start with all the cats running around the neighborhood. I have counted 5 since I moved in a couple of months ago and I never see anyone claiming or taking care of these cats so where are they coming from.
The staff is pretty cool and nice. But I wish they would find the owner of those cats and make them keep them in their own house.
We have cats roaming the streets but German shepherds and great dame's in the apartments. My next door neighbors have a huge dog that runs up and down the stairs loudly. The walls are paper thin. I live in a studio apartment and stay in the bedroom downstairs and I can here my roommate walking constantly. My roommate can hear my conversations when I am talking from within the room or outside on the patio. I can hear my roommate when outside through her window clearly and when standing in the downstairs bathroom because it is connected to the one next door I can hear them talking easily when I do not have my TV on. Sometimes when running the water in the bathroom sink there is a smell.
Because of how old the apartments are the floors squeak loudly.
Everyone in the neighborhood has a big dog that lives inside the apartment.
Electricity for some reason at these apartments run from 150 to 250 a month, don't let them lie to you and tell you different. And there is only me and my roommate that stay in the studio apt, given it does have to heat or cool 3 floors but 200 a month average is ridiculous.
The washer machines that are included are very very small on the inside, but if it was a nice size the electricity bill would probably be more than what it already is. I pay about 900 for my studio and yes given the location it is moderate but given the age and the true conditions of the apartments I do believe they could go down about a 100 dollars a month.
There has been a bad fire already in the apartment units by the front entrance which was caused by electrical problems within the units.
I have had to have my outlets replaced twice already due to shortages. I have not had much problems with bugs inside the apartment but I have seen some huge steroid looking roaches outside, which is pretty scary. I am debating on breaking my lease due to be scared of what the summer will bring once all the bugs come back out to play and with this apartment buildings being so old, this is problem their playground. I would not recommend living here if you can help it. It is not the worst apartment on the block but it is not far from it. They will show you apartments that they have kept up to reel you in but do not fall for it.
Oh yea and there are NO cable outlets in the bedrooms and if you do want to get them you are going to have to go through hell to get them. Because Comcast does not drill into bedroom walls anymore and the way that the apartments are set up they might not be able to get through the crawl space to drill it into your floor. Which you have to pay for yourself by the way and you do not get your money back when you leave so you saved someone else the time and hassle of trying to get cable. It is not worth it!! This unit is to old to continue to rent out to people especially at their going rates.
