Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2004
My husband and I have lived here for two years. What were we thinking'First of all, Waterford Landing lost the best office staff when ----- left. ----- was an awesome community manager but he had to leave because of one particular person in the office.
We decided to live here until we were able to find a house to build. It only took us two years, which I regret.
We first lived in a one bedroom apartment where we had more problems than we know what to do with. Our hot water heater went out three different times and it also shorted out our heater/ ac unit. We had to page maintenance technician one Sunday to let him know that our hot water decided to overflow and this caused the heater to short out. He got so mad and smarted off to us because he had to miss his Patroits game. This floored me and my husband.
Since we were not able to find a home to fit our needs in an reasonable short amount of time, we ended up signing one more year lease. (We regret.) We upgraded to a two bedroom and were told we would have new carpet and new vinyl. Little did we know that after three weeks of being in this apartment we had red stains, black grease stains, and green paint in the carpet. These stains were in odd places that we really did not use. Since January, we have had a mold problem, a problem that seems to be the last thing on the staff's minds. My husband and I keep having these massive headaches; he is breaking out all over, and I cannot seem to get over bronchitis. This kind of thing really needs to be tested for our protection and other future residents. Maybe I need to call FOX17 News. They have recently done reports on how much damage mold can do.
Someone made a comment in an earlier message that if we did not like it so much why do we not move out. Believe me, we've tried. To break a lease here we have to pay an arm and a leg. This is ridiculous. Well, now that we are moving out manager wants us to pay our last month's rent plus leave all of our utilities on and we will not even be here to get our money's worth.
This apartment has a really bad spider and centipede problem. When it rains, we find dried up worms all over our floors. Yuk!
Make sure you inspect the apartments really well before deciding on one.
