I lived at Cherry Grove for three months on a short-term lease while I waited to close on a house. The rent was far too high for the apartment's quality (the mortgage and escrow on the house are over $100 less than rent was), and the other reviewers' complaints about maintenance are typical of my experience. The pipes beneath the sink leaked, the carpet had a musty pet-smell that made the dining area unusable, and the dishwasher was useless.

Now, four months after I've moved out, the icing on the cake comes -- a second collection notice for a month of unpaid rent for the month AFTER my lease ended and I moved out. I closed on a house ten days before the end of my lease, moved out, cleaned the apartment, and turned my keys in to the office. I even asked if there was anything else I needed to take care of in the remaining few days left on my lease or if I needed to sign any exit/key return documents; I was told no. Two months ago, when I got the first collection notice, I called Cherry Grove and was told that the problem would be resolved. Now, I get another notice for the exact same issue. Whether management resolves their mistake this time or not, I shouldn't have to deal with a collection agency because THEY can't figure out when their leases ended.
