I've lived here for a little under 5 years and do not see myself or my family moving in the forseeable furture. I know 90% of my neighbors by name, interact with the office staff on a regular basis-each encounter is professional, pleasant, and positive, and most of all, in response to the previous comments- I feel safe. I walk the dog alone after dark, I let my kids play outside in the evening, and I participate in the Neighborhood Watch program here at Post House. I personally find the previous comments quite amusing about the rash of burglaries at a certain apartment, call me crazy, but if one apartment is getting broken into again and again, I wonder why. Statistically speaking, what are the odds unless you're involved or it's someone you know or brought into your home. The odds are about the same as getting struck by lightening twice in the same spot on different days, pretty amazing, wouldn't you say' And if these things did happen to you, wouldn't you be more than eager to aid the police in catching these perpretators any way you could' Strange if you don't want any police assistance, isn't it' Why would that be' I wonder.... Look, any place you live-a home, an apartment, a condo-they all have positive and negative attributes, no place on earth is complete perfection. But here at Post House, I've found a nice place to live. Whenever I go into the office, Kathy and Ann make me feel welcomed. If something needs to be fixed, I know Pablo will be on top of it and take care of it. Wayne always has a friendly word and a smile. I don't know, maybe I'm just a different soul, but I like living somewhere where almost everybody knows your name. I imagine someone from across the country looking for a place to live in Jackson via the internet and scoping through the comments about Post House and seeing the previous comments and thinking-"Oh, well that sounds like a terrible place to live", well I want you to know it's not. It's a wonderful place to live. I like it here, I'm happy here, my family & my kids-they're happy here too. My neighbors are wonderful people, going down to the pool-is fun!! Every age bracket mingling together-talking, laughing. That's community and that's what's here. And if that's what you're about-this is the place for you.

Your comments are amusing. If you had kept up with crime stats in your apartment complex, you would know that there have been MANY burglaries there in the past 2 years, as I have lived in the complex two years. I didn't have a problem until I moved to the townhouse lofts. The simple fact is, you are probably just unaware. I got burglarized b/c I had nice electtronics and a big flat screen tv, not b/c I deserved it or had crazy company over. You keep enjoying your stay there and good luck. The whole front of the first building is empty now as me and all of my "humeruos also burglarized neighbors" have moved out. Get some crime stats before you make a judgement. You are ill-informed.

First I'm curious to know if you have a job because it seems like you have plenty of time to monitor this website. I got an email stating I had a response to my posting, that's how I found out about your response. I find it strange that you posted your original comments a few months ago and yet responsed to mine almost immediately, what exactly is your agenda? You want to say I'm ill-informed-if that's what you need to make yourself feel better. You state that there have been many burglaries here in the past 2 years-are you aware that last year all apartment complexes around the city of Jackson experienced burglaries? Are you aware that Jackson, as a whole, had an increase in crime and therefore Mayor Gist created a special task force to address these issues? Did you know that this summer storage facilities are now being broken into? Are you posting commennts somewhere about the storage facility owners? Also, how did the burglars know you had nice electronics and a big, flat screen TV? Based on your comments, I believe I have an idea who you are and I've NEVER seen you at any of the Neighborhood Watch meetings. Plus actions that you have taken regarding your automobiles strongly suggest you do have an agenda. Please do the rest of us a favor-find somewhere else to live.
