Our daughter lived at Evergreen Apartments her last two years at ETSU and loved it. My husband and I were comforted by the fact that someone from the staff is always on the property with cell phones and just a call away if she had a problem with maintenance or anything. She dropped a hair brush down the toilet and stopped it up at 1:00 am in the morning (on a weekend) and they came right out and fixed it. She also locked herself out of her apartment one night and the guy came out to let her in and did'nt even charge her, but he did make her show him her ID to make sure she belonged in the apartment. That made us realize that the managers were truely looking out for the safety of our daughter and their other renters.
We were invited to go with a nice young man to inspect for any damages to her apartment so there would be no misunderstandings when the lease was up. He pointed out to us that there was no charges against our deposit since she had taken such good care of everything. As we were walking by another apartment being inspected we couldn't help but see inside the open door. I can understand why some people lose their deposit as some have said on here! The walls were all smugged up and the carpet was left dirty. Our inspector said, "don't worry, it will look new again in a couple of weeks for the new people moving in."
If our daughter goes on to graduate school at ETSU she will no doubt be back in those apartments. If you treat their apartment with respect you will get your deposit back.
