The apartment was a slum. I didn't have cable or internet that worked properly for nearly a year, Charter refused to do any work, the television was fuzzy, the internet constantly disconnected. I had a problem with bugs, a couple days a week, I would find bugs in my apartment, including a few roaches. Good luck getting repairs done, everything messed up. The walls were paper thin. I woke up in the morning to the sound of kids and people talking outside, and slept to the sound of neighbors having intercourse.
I signed a 6 month lease in October, the manager dated my lease starting January "I was under the impression it was in October", I moved out in May. On my door, right after I gave my notice, was a large packet with a gift ribbon, inside was a warning that I had to pay for May's rent. Since I still had a "lease". I didn't bother to check my contract, when I signed my lease, I trusted the lease would be dated starting in October. I received another letter in the mail, stating I now have to pay for June's rent, despite me not being there.
Also, previously I was a day late on rent, I received three evictions notices in one day, they drive around in their golf carts, never knock on the door and are overly aggressive. A new company has taken over, their trying to get everyone to agree to new rates. My rent went from 410.00 to nearly 445.00, for a one bedroom apartment, with a kitchen the size of my closet, the stove hardly worked, the refrigerator leaked water. The pool is full of bugs. The "gym" is a broken down piece of gym equipment and a 10 year old treadmill, that doesn't work right. Everyone is constantly moving out, I had over 8 neighbors in nearly 1 year and a half.

it sounds as though this last person is holding a grudge. Maybe you couldnt afford to live here at Allandale because it is such a nice place!!! the gym is great, the pool is well maintained. Yes the rent will occasionally go up, its in the lease, but what isnt going UP??? The walls are not paper thin, maybe you should quit holding a glass up to the walls and listening to your neighbors. YES you have to pay until your lease is up, just like everyone else. The management is awesome, and will do anything for Allandale residents. Our air conditioning went out one day and by the next morning we had a brand new unit put in. Talk about GREAT service! I just think you need to move back into your trailer park, maybe then you will be happy, and take your bugs with you, I have never seen a bug at all in my apartment, maybe you never CLEANED!
