Not bad for the money

Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2007
I moved in here while doing my internship at the local high school. Living off financial aid made every penny count. After moving out of a roach motel apartment this bug free place was welcome. The rooms are somewhat dark- the apartment windows where small, and the large trees outside blocked much of the light. The rooms were small and quickly became overfull. The whole place had a general feel of old building showing its age. There are a lot of retired ladies living there. I was probably the only one under fifty in the entire building. The office staff were quite nice despite the chain smoking. I tried to limit my exposure, but even after five minutes I'd come out reaking of smoke. When I moved back to Knoxville the following year I looked into moving back in to a two bedroom instead of a three. Unfortunately, I found that the two bed rooms have hook ups for a washer/ drier but no dishwasher. THey were in the process of some serious maintanance and up keep. They were also in the middle of a large price hike. They were willing to waive the various fees, but I found a newly remodeled, much larger place for some $75 more. For what it's worth, it's not a bad place. It's probably one of the cheapest in Fountain City/ Halls.
