Going downhill fast!

Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2009
I've lived here for 2 years, and everything was as good as could be expected when I moved in, but that has changed quickly. New management has taken over and even though some improvements have been made to the grounds, the insides of the buildings are in disrepair. I have a washer/dryer hook-up in my apartment, but the dryer doesn't vent outside. They gave me a bucket that you fill with water and attach the dryer hose to, which causes the whole apartment to be humid and moldy when you do laundry. Parking is getting harder and harder to find due to all of the broken-down vehicles. Maintenance responds fairly quickly, but they do NOT get your permission before entering, they come and go as they please even if you haven't requested maintenance and they never leave a note to let you know they fixed the problem (which sometimes they haven't). The common areas are never cleaned. My neighbors and I ended up coming up with a cleaning schedule just to keep our hallway clean. The walls are paper-thin. I had a stomach bug and my neighbor asked me if I needed anything through the wall because she could hear me being sick! I live on the ground floor and every time the people in the apartment upstairs walk, it sounds like they're coming through my ceiling and the light fixtures shake. Management doesn't screen the applicants very closely, and the tenants are getting trashier and trashier. My cable went out, and upon investigation, the cable guy said that another apartment had been stealing my cable. Basically, I live here because I can't afford anything else, but I am looking to move out. If you are considering living here, do so carefully. The prices are going up (even though this is still the cheapest place to live in Knoxville) and the quality is going down.
Edit: I agree with the other posters that Debbie is the only one in the office to deal with. She's the only one that is sympathetic and gets something done about a problem. Dealing with the actual office manager is like pulling teeth!
