This was my first attempt at renting an apartment instead of a house, and I was pretty disappointed. Safety was my BIGGEST issue at The Ashtons. My car was broken into no less than TWICE. After it happened the first time, I was told that there had been a rash of auto thefts, but when I asked what was being done....no answer. About two weeks later I noticed that there was an empty City Police car parked by the clubhouse, but what is that going to do'! Apparently it did nothing as my car was broken into AGAIN within a month from the first time!!! Anyway...MOVING ON, our A/C unit leaked. We had called several times to have it fixed, but they were just telling us that we had a leak in the roof. However, even after it was supposedly fixed, we still had a leak! I finally braved the small crawl space where the Central A/C unit was kept and reached through all the cobwebs, and mold (from the water leak that had gone on for months by now) and discovered that it was some sort of drainage tube that had fallen out of it's piping and was dripping onto my carpet! Why they couldn't find this, I'll never know. Oh, and they "claim" to have a zero-tolerance policy on broken-down cars, or cars with flat tires that don't move for months, but there were at least two "junkers" that NEVER moved (one was actually filled with junk) for at least 8 months. Needless to say, we don't recommend staying here to anyone!
