I have lived in this complex since the first of 2007, I have had many issues with plumbing AC and a pond in my hall that takes up 1/3 of the apartment, as of yet none of these issues have been fixed. I have been handed many empty promises yet they do not forget when their money comes due each month that I do in fact still live in a swamp land. The part that bothers me most is that we have been dealing with this one issue for so long and the manager of the community, Mike Pursiful and I came to an agreement that we would move to the unit next door, this was decided back at the first of June. The guide lines were that he would have the issues fixed in that unit within a week. Still they are also unresolved, and one of the main problems there is the exact same thing that he deemed my original unit to be unfit to live in. I feel that He and the new owners which is Steven D Bell and Assoc., as well as the old owners take advantage of the renters not to know renters laws and rights and just simply moving out, which I would gladly do if I was able to do so financially. They have spent more time on updating the "looks" of the units or the landscaping and no time on problems or cleaning of the community. Then there is the pool that has went most of the summer without being treated and on the 14th of August it was FINALLY treated .. wish I would of got a picture of the green pond they called a pool. The sad part is MOST of the units are like this. The recent maintenance manger spoke with me after recently exploring other career options and stated to me and put into writing that he was instructed to "rig" up something because fixing the issue was not cost effective. They should own stock in duck tape. Mind you I have a 2 year old daughter that lives here and there is in fact black and powder green mold growing in my hall and up my walls. I am as of now seeking an attorney to help me with the legal matters of having my money returned to me and moving.I do hope you keep in mind I only covered the major issues in this, I failed to mention the bathroom fixtures that do not work or have broken completely off and the stove that sparks when you turn it on or the wall plugs that have enough space that my child was able to place her finger between the wall and the face plate, or the three times I have to have them fix my door because if you pulled on the handle the door would open and my daughter had gotten out of the apartment when I was fixing dinner. Trust me, there are in FACT better apartments in lower income communities. I will gladly leave my name and the unit I am in and anyone that feels it false may come by and speak with me.
