This place is ridiculous... When we first checked these apartments we were told it would not be a problem to have a boat on the property, as we were signing the lease we also questioned this and was assured there would be no problems, the day after we moved in we found a notice on the door saying the boat must be removed from the property within 24 hours or it would be towed, this was our main concern in finding an apartment but after we moved in and had signed a year lease was told to remove it or it would be towed! As mentioned in another review you will be shown an apartment with all new appliances then when given an apartment it has gold appliances from the 70's, our oven was nasty and hardly used because of it's condition when we moved in, but we were charged $10 from our damage deposit for cleaning the oven when we moved out! When we moved in there was cat hair everywhere, we shampooed the carpet multiple times and would still vacum up hair... when we moved out we were also charged $50 from our deposit for carpet cleaning that is "done after everyone moves out" too bad we didn't get it cleaned before moving in! The walls/floor/ceilings are apparantly made of paper because you can hear everything going on around you... We could hear the guy below us fighting with his wife all night long at least once a week... we also listened to our neighbors stereo all day and most of the night! Our utility bills were more than double for this little one bedroom apartment than for a much bigger house that we are in now! The maintenance always fixed anything that went wrong almost immediately, but this was because my husband gave them a six pack everytime they came, everyone else said they couldn't get anything fixed! The "laundry facility" is ridiculous, half the washers have out of order signs and the other half are so nasty you know your clothes are cleaner before putting them in... there are 2 dryers that actually work, the others simply turn your clothes but do not put out hot air so after waiting 45 minutes you discover that your clothes are still wet! There is no problem finding a parking spot around 1 in the afternoon but other than that good luck to you! The outsides of the apartments are nasty.. the stairs the balconies, the wood railings are rotted and if leaned against would definitely fall! What landscaping there is, the shrubs are overtaking the sidewalks and you have to walk in the grass to get around many of them! Management was horrible, in your lease there is no way of getting out of it, you must pay each months rent until your lease is up, you can't forfit your deposit or pay any type of fine if you move out early you must continue to pay even if they rent your apartment to someone else! Pets are everywhere... everyone here has like 10 huge dogs that they let use the bathroom everywhere... people have cat houses on their balconies for their cats that live outside!
