I lived in a top floor garden type unit at Country Club for 1.5 years. Parking was good because my building was located on the end where there was lots of spaces, guest parking. There were two street lamps close by that gave adequate lighting.
The apartment was pretty solid; concrete floors, thick wooden doors and abundant space. The walk-in closet is the biggest I had ever seen. The bedroom is 15 by 17 feet in dimension; more than enough room for big beds. Also, there was a cinder block wall connecting my bedroom to the bedroom of the apartment next door; very solid and little sound ever got through.

All of the apliances in the kitchen were new and worked well, including a large and new water heater. There was lots of cabinet space but they were old and the paint job was sloppy.
The living room was comfortable but the carpet felt old and a little worn.
The neighbors were pretty good, sociable too ,but there was one unit down the hall that had a chronic problem with drunk questionable residents who were sometimes noisy at 3:00 AM, however, the building was quiet most of the time.
My unit had a nice balcony that was fun to sit out on during nice weather.
I never felt like safety was a major concern although there was some mysterious police work that took place in and around my building, not bad though.
The managers in the office werre pleasnt and courteous to deal with; maintenance requests were usualy handled in the same day.
The traffic could be difficult when cutting across Gallaher road to drive down Middlebrooke Pike to go into town to work.

Bear in mind, SMD properties charge a non refundable cleaning fee instead of a security deposit,so don't expect to get money back at the end of your lease.
My rent remained the same throughout my stay of 18 months.

Life at Country Club was pretty good and I would consider living there again if my work situation changed.

This person was very lucky. Unfortunately, as you can read in my review, many things have changed with our new management team. She was very lucky to have new appliances. I am still fighting to get my oven fixed and they finally repaired my dishwasher after making 5 requests. I have a king size bed and it barely fits in my master bedroom, the closet is very big and I do like that. Unfortunately this complex has gone down hill in the past year or so.

My guess is that 'quickdraw' is a Country Club employee. These apartments suck.

Well, I want her/his apartment, because mine SUCKS. Old appliances, horrible paint that shows a mark if you even touch it, VERY rude staff. If you work at night, don't live here, because the maintenance staff loves to come by at 9am and insist that they come in. Oh, and I just love the huge flood that occurs if it even rains for an hour right where we have to walk. Its so wonderful to have a huge drop hit you right on the neck after its been sitting on the NASTY ROOF.
