Wouldn't want to stay for years...

The biggest thing to remember is you get what you pay for. The place has a really great price for the square footage, with the exception of the half bath in the townhouse. I'm five feet seven inches tall, and my knees touch the sink cabinet when I sit down. The kitchen is really big with lots of cabinet space and a huge pantry for all your food. There isn't really a dining area-the living room just backs right up into the wall that divides it from the kitchen. The closets are definitely larger than average.

Maintenance is a real pain. My garbage disposal backed up three times before they eventually replaced it. I had a big leak from my toilet that poured down through my kitchen ceiling, and after repairing the leak, the maintenance guys left a big piece of plywood nailed to my ceiling (to cover up the huge hole) for three months while they got around to fixing the sheetrock. Turns out the toilet leak wasn't fixed after all, and the problem occurred again. Again, water everywhere in my kitchen. The maintenance guy poked several holes in the ceiling and said he'd be back in a few days to fix the sheetrock. Well, that was 9 weeks and 5 phone calls ago...still hasn't happened.

I haven't had any problems at all with noise. I do, however, smell my neighbor's cigarette smoke in my apartment a lot. The ventilation is a bit of a problem. There are only two vents for the entire upstairs portion of the townhouse, so the upper level is forever 10-15 degrees hotter in the summer and colder in the winter. It's nothing a fan or a few extra blankets won't take care of, I just wish the thermostat controlled the whole apartment. The staff is always very courteous & polite when I've spoken to them. I see kids outside playing all the time, and the place is very well lit-safety is great! There are dumpsters all over the place, so you never have to go far to get rid of your trash. Overall it's a good place to live...just get used to waiting forever for your service requests to be fixed.
