I've lived in my apartment for almost a year and am moving out as soon as my lease is up. I love the size, layout and location and it's great for dogs since there is a lot of space for them to run and play.

The thing I've had trouble with (from even before I moved in) is maintenance (and parking is not great for spouses/guests).

When I signed the lease they promised my place would be ready on time - and it wasn't (costing money out of my pocket for extending my other apartment and rescheduling movers, etc.).

Then after moving in I had a list of 20 things that were not right with the apartment. Small things like the fireplace not working and gas leaking, closet doors not having the knobs to open them, some doors missing altogether, etc.

It took about 60 days for them to complete these basic things that should have been done prior to my moving in. And in the past year, there have been many more issued like the pipes under the sink just coming apart one evening, to my dining room ceiling dripping water onto the dinner table from the bathroom above.

They do get around to fixing things, but you have to call several times a week, for a few weeks, before they get around to it. Then the job is pretty shoddy.

And if you call in a maintenance request and give it to one person, and call two days later, you have to give it to someone else because the first person lost it. This is frequently the case. For one issue I had to call 8 times and for some reason the 8th time the request actually finally got entered in the system.

I would not recommend these apartments if you are looking for a place where you don't want to call maintenance every week for something, and follow up every other day with more phones calls until they get around to it.
