I lived here from 7/06 to 7/07, the maintenance staff is excellent. They are quick and efficient. My bad experience came after move out when they advised 7 weeks later that my security deposit would not be returned because of nicotine on the walls, they had to KILZ it. They also said they had to replace the carpet, which was in bad shape when we moved in. I was an apartment manager in North Carolina for 15 years and was truly disappointed with my experience at Fox Lake. We paid a $200.00 cleaning fee upon move in and was told that we did not need to clean when we vacated.
I did clean and left the apartment in good shape. Also, I have not received the accounting in writing as of this date, which I believe should have been sent within 30 days of vacating. I am unfamiliar with Tennessee laws, but I know in NC this is a serious violation of Tenant/Landlord laws. I therefore cannot reccommend Fox Lake to anyone.
