I have to say that I really don't understand where the three posts below come from. I have been living here for almost a year now, and while yes, there are some problems, it is a apartment complex, and people will be people.

First off, the office staff cares very much about the people that live here. You call them with a problem, and it will be addressed. It may take a few days, but it will be addressed. After Hours isn't responsive, however, if you are calling them to complain about trash or some such, then you shouldn't be calling them. I know that you can find this site, so take a gander at the phone number at the top of the page and call Sherri or Regina.

As for the complaints of neighbors- did you talk to them' Because complaining about them here or even to the management isn't going to let your neighbors know that you have a problem with them. I have had a few nights where I went upstairs and had to tell the kids to turn down the music at 2am, but they did, and it was fine. I'm also fairly certain that the management can't do anything about the trash or messy balconies unless you actually, you know, tell them about it. Take pictures and take the camera with you. I did when some dork threw up all over the stairwell.

The management gives you a check list to go over when you move in. If there were problems apon move in- like a stove or a nasty carpet, why did you not put it on that checklist' Why did you move in in the first place' I know that when my family moved in, we came about a week before to walk in the apt and look around and make sure that we were happy with it.

Pools- Pools are a tiny over chlorinated and overfilled, but all in all not near as bad as some public ones that I have been to. I do wish it had keys to keep small children out of it.

Parking- yes, it's not the greatest in the world. But we have a towing service for a reason guys. If it doesn't have a Fox Lake sticker or a Guest Pass we all have the right to call after hours or the office and give them the license plate number and have it towed. Same goes for the people that park in the wrong places- as a matter of fact, if THOSE people have Fox Lake stickers, get the plate number, and call the office and give it to them. They will contact the person that the vehicle belongs to. ( We had a few out by building 11 that was doing this (and parking in front of the stop sign no less) for a while but I haven't seen it in a few months).

Kids- Don't place any blame on the staff for kids. DO take pictures of the havoc they cause and take it to the staff. Same for people that hit your car.

Bottom line is that if you have a problem, it can't be fixed unless you call and talk to the ladies at the office. Those women are there to help us, but they can't if they don't know that there is a problem or what it is.

I would recommend Fox Lake to anyone, but let them know about the parking situation. Everything else is grand for me.

Oh- and to the one that complained that the staff asked you to go to another apartment after you paid your deposit- you are in a pet building. Maybe someone with pets was trying to move in. From the sounds of your post, you don't have any.

???You call them with a problem, and it will be addressed??? -Wrong. I???ve made complaints in person to Sherri and Regina as well as multiple phone calls (I???ve had to call so many times that I now just keep their number on the speed dial for my cell). They do not address the issues that I???m having. Also, they have logs and they know of all of the complaints that I???ve made to after hours courtesy officer about my neighbors. Nothing has been done about this. The neighbors that live on the other side of them have complained as well. ???did you talk to them' Because complaining about them here or even to the management isn't going to let your neighbors know that you have a problem with them??? -My neighbors know we have a problem with them. I???ve talked to my neighbors twice about their noise. The first time the guy straight up lied to my face telling me that ???oh no. We don???t have a guitar. I???m not sure what you???ve heard but we definitely don???t have a guitar.??? I own a guitar myself and I know what one sounds like. We???ve also seen them carrying out not one, but two guitars and an amp out of their apt. My wife has physically been in their apartment with the manager and has also seen one of the guitars and amps set up. Also, how could the neighbors not know that we have a problem with them? They???ve had the courtesy officer or the cops called on them approx. 15 times or more. ???If there were problems apon move in- like a stove or a nasty carpet, why did you not put it on that checklist'??? -I put several things on the checklist. Not all of them were taken care of. I???ve been here over a year and things still aren???t fixed. We also called and complained about the oven. They had the maid come back and and reclean it to get it to stop smoking. This did not fix the problem and like I mentioned in my post, my wife had to clean it herself for weeks before it stopped smoking and it STILL smokes even after a year later when we use the broiler. We had gum in our carpet too when we moved in and several spots in the floor. They came back to redo our carpets and they got the gum out but there are still pink and green spots all over our carpet. ???Pools are a tiny over chlorinated and overfilled, but all in all not near as bad as some public ones that I have been to??? -Funny that you mention that, they had to actually shut down the pool recently because the PH levels were messed up. ???Don't place any blame on the staff for kids??? -I didn???t blame the staff for the kids always playing ball in the parking lot. I???m merely trying to inform any potential tenants about this. The last place I lived at didn???t have ANY children. Fox Lake has quite a lot. I???m just not a fan of kids skateboarding and throwing footballs or kicking soccer balls near my vehicles. ???Bottom line is that if you have a problem, it can't be fixed unless you call and talk to the ladies at the office. Those women are there to help us, but they can't if they don't know that there is a problem or what it is.??? -Both myself and the person in the post after mine have complained to the ladies in the office. They know all of our complaints but they don???t get addressed. Well, let me rephrase that. SOME of the complaints get taken seriously, like when I complained about bugs and they had someone come in and spray or when my sink rusted through in the kitchen and parts fell off, but I feel like most of my complaints fall on deaf ears. Sucks that this site won't let me put spaces in between my paragraphs.
