Not that great

Years at this apartment: 2008 - 2009

I've been here about a year and I'm not really that pleased. I was excited about the 'new' apartments, but have found a lot of problems with mine. Over the year I've had five cracks emerge from the walls in the apartment, which means they still have foundation problems. You can see areas in the ceiling (if you're on the top floor) where they sink in a little, which is concerning hearing about the problems they have had in the past (ceilings caving in). The workmanship is pretty sloppy. I have a lot of the wall color paint on the base boards, lots of drips in the paint, etc. The new carpet, new floorings, new appliances are great, please don't get me wrong on that.
I've just been a little unimpressed with how things are put together.
In addition, the current office staff has been pretty rude recently. I'm not sure what happened to the people that were there when I moved in, but the people now just sit around while you are standing there needing something. I went in the other day to pick-up a package and there were 2 staff members sitting around while another one was helping a customer. I guess they thought I didn't need anything because they just sat there and I had to wait for the other customer to leave. Every time I've been in there recently, I've left annoyed. I have also asked the staff to fix my bathtub faucet twice now because it constantly runs and they haven't done it. I gave up a few months ago and now it just always has a steady stream.
My last complaint is the noise. I didn't expect this complex to be similar to the fort, but I was wrong. There are a lot of college students here and I've had a few parties in my building that have kept me up on week nights. I figured that most college students who want to party would live in the college area (the fort, gateway, etc). I wouldn't live here if you are looking for a quieter area, it just isn't the case here.

The apartments are not as bad as some in knoxville. It is nice to have new appliances and flooring, but honestly, I would rather pay a little less and not have a new dishwasher. Just my own thoughts on the place, it isn't that bad but not worth the money.
