I have lived here for 2 years now, and can not wait to move out! The only reason I have stayed is because of the location, which is nice. My rent went up $20 last year and it's gone up again for this next year. If the rent gets any higher, you might as well live half way across town and pay the gas money to drive to campus and back every day.
First off, the management is terrible! They are very RUDE and don't care about their tenants. Last year, we had all these strange men coming into our aprtment while they were checking the bulding for repairs and managment felt that since they notified us that someone would be coming in sometime during that week it was ok. I'm sorry, but i don't like to come out of the shower in my town to a maitenance man!
Secondly, the fire alarms go off like once a week at 3am b/c some drunk fool thinks it's funny. I don't even leave my bed when they go off....it's that bad.
Thirdly, the building is sooo cheap, and i expect the thing to fall through with in 15 years. They built it entirely too quickly, and it wasn't even finished by the time they allow up to move in. Last year, there were issues with mold and there are even parts of the building on the 6th floor that are cracking due to the building settling. The applicance are cheap which is probably a good thing because of the people that live in this place.
My last complaint is that everyone that lives here tears up everything and it takes forever to be fixed. The undergrads here are spoiled, rude brats. The garage gates have been broken multiple times due to tenants running into them, and that whole process takes at least 2 months to get fixed. I could go on and on about the vandilism, but i will spare you.
BEWARE, these people are trying to suck your money out of you and it's not worth getting yourself stuck in a 1 year lease! There are MUCH better apartments in this area for a cheaper price, and those places even provide a bus service to campus. Don't come live in this trashy dorm-like frat house!
