I moved to Laurel Court because it was so close to campus--and it is right on campus but unfortunately that was its only benefit. Neighbors are super loud, the parking lot is tiny and frequently filled with non-residents. There is no visitor parking and, if you do have people over, they will have to constantly watch to see if their car is randomly being towed. My apartment had a hole in the wall and all the windows leaked. It also backed up to an industrial dumpster which was emptied at 3am several days a week. There is a nightclub almost next door and you can sing along to the music being played even when all your doors and windows are closed. Everything in the apartments is really run-down and there is basically no managment or maintenance. (to be fair, these apartments have been sold since I lived there so this could have changed, but I wouldn't be convinced). Once my water was shut off for four days because the apartment couldn't remember if anyone lived there. I also had a strange man wonder into my apartment to find out if anyone lived there--and he said he worked for the apartments. There are also hobos all around the property and very little outdoor lighting (absent the glare of fast-food run-off lighting from across the street).
