While I lived in Londontown, I had to deal with noisy neighbors, constant water problems, and broken items that never seemed to be fixed properly.

The water heater in the apartment above mine broke and flooded my kitchen. The maintenance men told me that it was normal and they have had to fix a lot of the water heaters in the apartments for the same thing. Then, less than a month later, the pipes to my water heater cracked open and flooded my kitchen again. By this time the staff told me the only way they could fix it was if I left for a week and they re-did the kitchen, so I took a week away. When I came back, i found that there was a hole in the wall, dust was everywhere, and there were drawers that could no longer be opened unless the over door was opened. These things were never fully fixed.

I decided that when my lease ran up, I was moving out. My fianc gave the woman who works on the weekend a three month verbal notice that I was moving out and was told that was all that we needed to do. Knowing that this wasn't right, I typed up my notice and put it in the drop box two months before I needed to be moved out. Then, three weeks before my lease runs out, I was told that they never received my notice and that I was going to have to pay for another months rent. So, (1) they lost my notice and claimed to have never seen it, even though I had people with me when I dropped it off and (2) they waited till I would have to pay for another months rent before they told me that they did not have my notice.
