I came from out of state and at first Sterling seemed like a great option, especially for older transfer students who want to live with young people but not live in the dorms. I was so wrong!

The amount of rent they charge is ridiculous, $410 each for a 3B or as much as $495 each for a 2B. Plus they charge you a ridiculous amount of money for water (sometimes $20 a month EACH person).

Its noisy and unsafe. Cars get broken into and damaged. I actually saw people smash somebody?s car after a football game because it had an LSU flag. I called 911 and also reported it to the SUH managment but they did nothing, even though I could positively ID the person who committed the crime. This person, as far as I know, is still living at Sterling.

The parking used to be a good point until they started towing away visitors who didn?t have the Sterling Heights sticker, and they only offer about 25 visitor spaces.

In the winter, the hill up to Sterling gets very dangerous with ice and they do not spend the money to salt or sand the hill for the residents safety.

Makes you wonder where all your money is going...
The office staff is mostly snobby and not helpful. Only one girl (Nikki) was ever helpful and sweet, but she ended up quiting because of the terrible working environment.

Please, please, please believe all these posts and don?t waste your money.

Honestly if my parents hadn?t been supporting me I would have run screaming long before I graduated.
