The apartments were built in the 80's, not the 60's. I have lived here nine years and have never had trouble getting repairs done. With something like the fridge as was described, go to the office again and ask for a further inspection. Sunchase has replaced all kinds of stuff for us thru the years.
In respect to the large roaches, they come off the mulch sometimes. They are not the regular cockroaches and Sunchase spray for bugs once a month as well. Any place that has mulch will have this type of roach. It is a nature issue, not a Sunchase issue. Same for the spiders.
Maybe apartment living in not your way of life, but the problems you describe are just part of living in apartments.

I am the Assistant Property Manager at Sunchase Apartments and would like to respond to the above listed comment. The first issue mentioned is that of the children playing in the parking lot and that the residents experienced a problem due to what they thought was Management telling that they called in to complain. That is not the policy that Sunchase follows. If one resident calls in a problem, the problem is addressed without EVER naming the complainant. When the children were playing in the parking lot, we addressed the situation regarding parking lot safety and keeping your children supervised. We used examples from the lease to prove our point, not other residents' names or calls. Never at any time do we name residents or mention that complaints have been made. If the resident who is at fault tries to blame other neighbors, that is not something we can help or control. Unfortunately, when you live in an apartment, neighbor disputes do happen from time to time. As for the above resident stating they were concerned about their safety, we have Courtesy Officers that are on call 24 hours a day to assist residents with any issues that may arise. The second issue mentioned above is the car stereo being stolen. No matter where you live, a car break in is possible. When every resident moves in, they sign an addendum stating that they understand we strongly recommend renters insurance to cover anything that might happen. We are very sorry that they experienced break-ins, but there isn't anything an apartment community can do to prevent that from never happening. The last concern mentioned by the resident is the trash. We do monitor the property daily, but do not allows see everyone who puts out trash. We have contacted the resident in an effort to find out exactly which neighbors are violating th trash policy so we can take care of that situation. We want Sunchase and all areas around people's apartments to look nice, so we do not purposely allow anyone to leave trash out. We will be monitoring that specific resident's area closely so we may help resolve the trash issue.

SUNCHASE DOES NOT HAVE A BATHROOM FOR SWIMMING POOL USAGE . THIS IS A CODE BIOLATION AND SHOULD BE ADDRESSED ASAP. THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT SHOULD BE CONTACTED IMMEDIATELY. OTHERWISE, PEOPLE WILL BE PEEING IN THE POOL, ESPECIALLY ELDERLY PEOPLE.

Why is it up to the RESIDENTS to police the trash policy? Isn't that YOUR job? If the parking areas were being inspected daily, then you WOULD see everyone who put out trash, so obviously you're not. As I write this, I see THREE apartments with trash outside the doors, to attract bugs and vermin. I know one of those has had trash outside for a month, so this "we check it daily" business is a crock. I also see two trucks with garbage bags and junk piled up in them. What a dump. I'll be out of here as soon as my lease is up.

The hot tub is more like a cold tub without the pee. There should be more people peeing in it to keep it hot.
