The Sutter's Mill apartment staff should refrain from placing reviews on this website. This site is intended for current and former tenents to provide possible future tenents with input regarding their experiences at the apartment complex. To all future tenents: please be aware that there are posts on this website that have obviously been written by the Sutter's Mill staff where they claim to be tenents. For example, the really long posts that go into GREAT detail about the complex and the location, how wonderful the staff is, and especially the defensive reviews that are written quickly after any sort of "negative" post has been made by a tenent... there will probably be one following this review. If a tenent has a problem with the complex, a staff member, or anything of this sort, rather than defending themselves on a website, the staff of the complex should get on here and claim that they do work for Sutter's Mill and then address the fact that they are working on their problems or that they have been fixed... acting as if Sutter's Mill is flawless and problem free is beyond rediculous.

No, I don't work there. I work in West Knoxville (see email address). Obviously you've had some bad experiences. I still maintain my review. Perhaps I got lucky over in building 5. It's quiet, good neighbors, great view, plenty of parking. No doubt everyone's experience varies and their perception is altered based on those experiences. I loved the last complex I was in, and wrote them a great review until someone stole my sheets out of the laundry...and then I decided the place was a disaster! But I really must defend the management staff here. (The entire management staff - ------ included). It's been well over a year now, I've interacted with all of them on various occassions. On the weekend, ------- always greets me with a big smile and a wave as I make my way to the gym. And during the week if I drop in the office to pick up a package or just to drop in and say "hi" and steal a candy, ---------------------------------...are always warm and friendly - even when they are trying to close up and are very busy. Collectively, that management staff is just about the kindest, friendliest, most sincere group of people I have ever encountered. And because of their sincerity, the one thing that they probably DO NOT DO...is kiss a residents' ass. So they may not be as friendly if a resident is being a problem, or being rude and disrespectful to either them or other residents. Not saying that was the case with you. I'm just stating my observation. I hope you have a better experience and can begin to appreciate what a rare find this place is.

Sorry, but I totally disagree. This place, for the money I pay to live here, is amazing. Sure it has several flaws. But I have lived in places in knoxville that have been over a hundred dollars more a month in rent that haven't been as good as sutters mill.
