Very Bad Experience

I lived in the Willows apt complex for less than a week. When I first moved in I was greeted with fleas jumping on me. After five minutes I went to a hotel and stayed there for two days while they bombed the apartment. After two days I returned to live there and had a terrible headache because of all the chemicals. There were about two-three fleas a day but now roaches appeared in the kitchen and it was disgusting. After a couple of days of placing roach traps and roach sprays, I moved back to the hotel and repeatedly kept on informing the office of what was happening. On the surface the staff was trying to be accomodating as they could. But a neighbor informed me that the previous apt tenant had 16 dogs living in the apt as well as rabbits. He then proceeded to tell me he helped move the woman out and moved a tv so he got a look at the inside of her apt and they was blood on the walls and tv because the animals were breeding. He proceeded to throw up after he saw this. I was furious when I heard this and confronted the staff. They knew about the condition of the apt and when they cleaned the apt, the people who cleaned it had to wear protective suits aka hazmat suits. I could not believe they did not disclose this information to me before they rented the apt to me. To add insult to injury I had already signed a lease at their sister apts but they persuaded me to see this apt and rent it. The management are UNETHICAL. Needless to say I do not live there anymore. It is now two weeks later and I believe there is someone else who has just moved in. I only wish I made this posting earlier.
In addition, parking is cramped at times and there isn't enough lighting in the parking lot. Also the neighbor next store and downstairs has subsequently moved out because the fleas and roaches have infested their respective apts.

I agree with the tennant who wrote this. I had freinds living at the Willows and they said they had the same problems with fleas, but I can't believe they allow such a person to live in the apartment breeding dogs.. I feel sorry for this poor guy going back and forth to a hotel that is just not right.

I also am aware of the situation with the apartment (I am a Willows tenant - have lived there for 8 months and very happy) and know that the management did everything they could do legally to get the lady evicted. As soon as they found out what was going on, they filed for eviction - but the law does allow time for the tenant to move. I used to work for another apartment community is how I know this - you have to file with the court, then go to court a few weeks later, then the tenant gets 10 days to actually move, and then if they don't move (which she didn't) you have to file again, and a few days later, the tenants things are set out. Unfortunately, tenants don't always act the way that they should and it is against the law for the managers to disclose anything about other tenants. (unless someone has been murdered - they do have do disclose that) I would check out these apartments, they are REALLY nice and the manager and maintenance are great!
