Walden Legacy

How valuable is a first impression? I can't imagine how a first impression could have be better than my first impression of the Walden Legacy Apartments. I don't know that the apartments here are significantly better than other higher end apartments. What is as important to me as the condition of the apartment I rented is the way I feel I am being treated by the staff. Is their friendliness genuine? Will that friendliness last past the signing of the lease? They say they have good response when maintenance is needed but do they, really?
I also wanted to know what kind of security is provided, not just during the day, but in the middle of the night. Will they accept my dog? I wondered. He's gentle but he is big. So far, Walden Legacy has more than met my expectations.
The property manager is friendly, knowledgeable and engaging and works persistently to make sure the needs of the residents are met. Maintenance calls have been responded to promptly and the work was done cheerfully and well. The staff in the office have demonstrated the same willingness to help. I have yet to detect a hint of "Don't call me, you're a bother" in their voices.
Even though I have lived in apartments in the past, most of my life I have lived in my own home. It was with some fear that I moved into an apartment this year. However, my experience at Walden Legacy has been my best experience ever in an apartment.
As I mentioned, early impressions sometimes have to be revised. But the positive impression I have of the Walden Legacy apartments, and particularly the staff, is a great way to start.
