The Good & the Bad

I've lived here for a year and a half now. Overall, I'd say my experience was "okay". They changed management a few times which in turn changes the rules and rent prices for when you go to renew your lease. I'm a stickler when it comes to bugs but I haven't had that problem at all here. As for the maintenance... they are "ok". My A/C went out one summer day at 4:55pm, and the man came and worked on it for an hour instead of going home at 5. But, the apartments are getting some age on them; for instance, I was locked out of my apartment 5 times before they finally came and changed the lock (the key wouldn't unlock the door), also, the ceiling in the bathroom looks HORRIBLE. My upstairs neighbor has overflooded his toilet about 3-4 times while I've lived here, causing nasy water to come down into my bathroom...leaving the ceiling tiles brown and soggy and my bathroom gross. Maintenance came and scrapped the ceiling tiles...that's it, didn't replace them! They are still brown. The place seemed a lot better when I first movied in...it could be the change of management or just the fact that it's getting older that has made it crumble or the government subsidies. Oh, the location is great...right at the interstate near everything. And, don't believe them when they say they'll give you money for referring someone. I had a friend move in to an apartment here back in August, it is March and I have yet to see my money/reduced rent/check or whatever. Everyone I've talked to has issues with the dishwashers as well...it leave bits of food on the dishes, and cause the kitchen sink the "throw up". If you don't have much money, this is a fine place to stay. Be prepared for illegal immigrants and hearing
your upstairs neighbor pee, talk on the phone, listen to music, etc. That all depends on how loud your neighbors are. When I first moved in I thought I'd go insane with my neighbor(s) listening to music & having parties at all hours of the day/night. But thankfully, they've moved. This could be a coinsidence...but I've personally seen THREE cars go up in flames right outside my apartment complex. I never heard what really happened...I was just informed to quickly move my car to another parking spot when it happened.
